| A WINTER STORM WARNING REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 4 PM PST THIS AFTERNOON. STEADY
SNOW WILL CONTINUE THROUGH MUCH OF THE DAY. EXPECT THE HEAVIEST AMOUNTS
TO FALL SOUTH OF THE IDAHO PALOUSE. IN ADDITION TO THE SNOW... SOUTH TO
SOUTHWEST WINDS OF 15 TO 25 MPH WITH HIGHER GUSTS HAVE CAUSED SOME
BLOWING AND DRIFTING SNOW. WARMING TEMPERATURES THIS MORNING WILL ACT
TO MINIMIZE THE BLOWING AND DRIFTING THROUGH THE DAY. A WINTER
STORM WARNING MEANS SIGNIFICANT AMOUNTS OF SNOW ARE EXPECTED OR
OCCURRING. STRONG WINDS ARE ALSO POSSIBLE. THIS WILL MAKE TRAVEL VERY
HAZARDOUS OR IMPOSSIBLE. THIS WARNING INCLUDES THE FOLLOWING
LOCATIONS...MOSCOW... PLUMMER... POTLATCH...GENESEE...PULLMAN...
COLFAX...ROSALIA...LA CROSSE. Talking to locals this is the most snow Pullman/Moscow have received in about the last 10 years. Today alone we are probably going to accumulate a foot or more. It hasn't been above freezing for about 2 weeks, I think. Although it was nice when it warmed up from 7 to 27 degrees F.
WSU Actually cancelled school. Unheard of...Pullman in general is notorious around the quad cities (towns, lol) for NEVER cancelling school or closing buisnesses.
Oh, and in case anyone actually reads this, one of the reasons I haven't been updating regularly is because I haven't had internet service at my apartment. I got it on Monday, and I'm SO thankful. Otherwise I would be the boredest person in the world right now. Crazy. Litrally snowed in.
I'm moving SOUTH.

| I was channel surfing and heard this on CNN's Glen Beck (and I like CNN although I don't know much about this show).
"Barak Obama is the Prius of the 2008 Presidential Election"
Ear-catching line. The argument was basically that on the democratic side, Hillary is the "old school" and Obama is the "rockin new school." That people like him because he's NOT what everone else has been. Because he's "change." They compared him to Kennedy- that people liked Kennedy because he was young and hip and full of new ideas. Not necessarily because of his policies.
And another debate that's been going on campus: what comes first? The black man or the white woman? If you go by history, it's the black man. But is the US ready for that? no idea.
What're your two cents?

| I don't even know if anyone reads this stuff. But here are a few items I suppose.
This has been a weird semester in Pullman. All of my best friends from the last years (except Rose) have graduated. And Rose lives far away and is always busy with art classes. And so what have I done? I've made myself so busy with work, that all my friends are work friends (and I include cable 8 as work). And when we get together what do we do? Talk about work. So even thought I vowed to myself to not be completely consumed with work, I am...again. And when I'm not working, I'm doing homework. Putting in far more hours and making projects much more complex and big than they need to be. And doing that just stresses me out more. I'm so sick of the Murrow (communication) buildings. And I know my time in them isn't going to go down...even though I'm not taking many more com classes, I'm now doing cable 8, plus hours in the office for the symposium. And even though its something I want to work on (the Murrow Symposium that is), that I've waited for 3 years to work on, I'm almost ready to drop it and just quit it all. But then what? What am I supposed to do with my time? My own prediction is I'll just find something else to do (in Murrow) that isn't as productive or as good for my resume. So I'll keep on with Symposium.
But honestly, when finals week rolled around, I felt like laughing, crying, drinking copiously and sleeping for about 12 days. All at the same time. I also felt like if I didn't leave Pullman I was going to explode.
Then there's this. I already know I don't particularly like reporting, but next semester I'm taking a TV News reporting class. In fact, I already know that I would never ever want to be a reporter. Really, its not my thing. And furthermore, what IS my thing? I've taken so much time trying to learn as much as I can about everything I can, and taking ahold of all the opportunities I can that I'm decent or even good at a lot of things, but feel like I'm excellent at none. Do I want to go into straight PR? No. But it comes really easily to me. Should I do production? I could, and I love it, but honestly it doesn't come naturally. I really have to work at it, and I'm never finished with a project. Should I do reporting or producing work? I hate reporting. I like stories, not news and no kidding there is a huge difference. Producing? I'd like to try my hand at creative producing...but I don't know a whole lot about it...gah. I've done good internships at good companies, but none of them have enough money to hire me! SCT is a non-profit (for goodness sakes they fired/laid-off someone while I was there), and CW11 recently told one of the other interns they couldn't afford to take her on full-time. Maybe by next May I guess.
I think I'll go to Africa for a few weeks after graduation and avoid the whole thing. Literally. Bryan is there, and I need to get out and so something. It's another one of those years where it feels like everyone is out there experiencing life except for me. I'm experiencing Pullman. WOO.
Maybe I'm just in a rut, maybe I'm just over reacting, but everything right now upsets me. Everything. So much its sometimes embarassing. Don't tell anyone.
Guess that's all for now...oh. And if you haven't received your Christmas card yet, that's because I mailed about 15 of them from Pullman with the wrong postage and then promptly left town. Just another thing that's gone wrong in the last few weeks.

| anyone out there into electronica? electronic music? dance music? "techno"? me either. but i DO have a new found appreciation for it.
TCM= The Cystal Method. You've heard it in car commercials, sports highlight reels, being played at fashion shows. One of the pioneers of dj/electronic/dance music bands. Thanks to a new C8-er named Kata, we scored an interview and show taping of them over at the Showbox in Seattle on Saturday, and it was pretty awesome. They're such normal guys...in their mid-30's, no attitudes, not a horrendous amount of groupies, real chatters and easy going guys. It was awesome.
Is it really nerdy that I was super excited about our field/tech abilities? We got in the dressing room early to set up for the interview and actually had more than enough time to set up 5 pt. lighting complete with filtering and color correction, to sync and balance 3 cameras and make sure all our audio was correct. That NEVER happens. Plus, we got tripods set up in the concert area, and access for 1 crowd handheld cam and one ON STAGE which also NEVER happens. And (at least i) managed to find something white to balance on and so my display actually looked the same colors as what my eyes saw...which RARELY happens in a concert atmosphere when its all bright and things are flashing and smoke machines and the like. I'm just stoked. And the music was actually decent. Yes.
